Winner Onno Elgersma (NL) and co-winner Herman Grooten (NL) didn't know what hit them. Members of the Brotherhood of the Manneken-Pis, along with Alderwoman of Culture Ann Panis, came to hand over the trophy, the Manneken-Pis, with their own hands. Five-time winner Geert Van Der Stricht had done everything he could, but to no avail. Partly due to the absence of six-time winner and local favorite Tanguy Ringoir, this time the podium was completely Dutch. Rick Lahaye (NL) took the bronze.
